Samantha (Sam) began working with us as a hostess in 2014, the year before we opened Blu Pointe. While training to be a Reservationist at the Front desk, she realized that a career in hospitality was becoming a serious interest. When we finally opened Blu Pointe, Sam, along with our Reservationist team, was able to lead an extremely busy front desk while maintaining a warm and cordial disposition. We quickly noticed she was becoming a critical member of our hospitality team.
In 2017 Samantha was promoted to Assistant Catering Coordinator to Mary Caster. During this time Sam helped us develop more than half of our regulars, who until this day, continue to come to visit her at the restaurant. After achieving her degree in hospitality from SUNY Rockland in 2020, she has continued to learn the dining room operations as a Head Waiter and most recently a Captain. In our current climate hospitality still remains paramount to our guest experience. In order to ensure every guest receives the TRUE Blu Pointe experience we couldn’t think of anyone better to lead the team than Samantha.
In December 2021 Samantha was promoted to the Maître d’ position. By accepting this new role we strongly believe she will help us make great strides in creating true hospitality and achieving excellence in service to each and every guest.
